What 20 Founders Told Us: Founders Breakfast, Edition 2
Most of the founders at our second breakfast were at the idea or pre-launch stage. That tells us something important about where support is needed.

On July 11, 2026, founders returned to Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown London for the second Founders Breakfast. Around 20 people joined the room, with 17 confirmed registrations and more than 11 industries represented.
With Tayo Badejo as MC, the format kept its focus on introductions, honest questions and practical support. Familiar faces met founders attending for the first time, bringing new perspectives to the table.
Capital is more than money
One of the morning’s strongest themes was the broader meaning of capital: relationships, reputation, community and an idea that is ready to be supported. Founders discussed how trust and warm introductions can open conversations that a cold request cannot.
The discussion also returned to visibility. A useful product still needs to be seen, and consistent communication can reach the right person even when an audience is small.
Making collaboration practical
The Founders Pledge returned with two specific commitments: respond within 48 hours and make one warm business-to-business introduction. Those promises made follow-through something founders could act on after breakfast.
Community generosity was part of the day too. Luminai Scent returned with complimentary scent diffusers, while business bingo created another way for attendees to learn about one another. Tosin Sosanya and Funmi Ayowole took home the bingo prizes.
